PS 5500 Universal Pre-Amplifier
The PS 5500 preamp was built to match the BS 5500 power amp. It retailed for $555 in 1978. It had 7 different inputs, including a microphone input with a variable mixing control so that it could be used as a mixer for live proformances. It also had two sets of tone controls, as well as bass and treble turnover switches and a mode selector. Unfortunately, I do not have a PS 5500 yet. Although, I hope to have one in the very near future!
