TUS 600 Stereophonic Tuner

The TUS 600 was an analog tuner introduced in 1978 with a retail price of $440. Like most other Settons, it sold extremely poorly due to the price. It had both signal strength and center tuning meters for more accurate tuning. It was a 4-gang tuner, with variable muting and output. It also had a "flywheel" tuning knobs, which glided smoothly along the dial. It also had a Dolby FM input, which was cool "back in the day," but is completely useless in today's technology. It also had a FM MPX filter, which cut out extremely high frequencies thus eliminating backround hiss and static. The TUS 600 also featured 3 indicators for stereo, mono, and mute. In between stations, the muter would cut out the static. Once the tuning knob was turned to lock into a station, the lights would blink up from mute to mono to stereo.
Below is a close-up of the TUS 600. Somehow I lucked out on this picture and was actually able to get a decent shot. :)
